You Flutter Lash Extensions are easy to look after by following these simple steps:
Your Flutter lashes are completely waterproof so you can shower and swim straight away. Just avoid saunas or steam rooms for the first 24 hours.
Do not rub, pick or pull on the lashes. They are attached to your natural lashes so you need to treat them gently to avoid causing damage. Every morning groom your lashes with the mascara brush provided by your lash artist to make sure they are sitting neatly.
You need to avoid using any products containing oil on or around the eye area as it can damage the bond of the extension causing them to fall out prematurely. Oil based cleansers and moisturisers can still be used on the rest of the face as long as you are very careful not to apply too close to the lash line. Be very careful when applying suncream as these also often contain oil.
You shouldn’t need to wear mascara as the extensions will give this effect. However, if you want to create a fuller look for evening or a special event we have a mascara that has been specially formulated for use with the lash extensions. Normal mascaras are not suitable to use with extensions as they often contain oil or are hard to remove without damaging the bond of the lash.
You can wear all make up, except mascara, as normal and we have an eye make up range that has been specifically created for lash wearers. Click here to see the full range.
To remove eye make up you need to use an oil free eye make up remover. Avoid using cotton wool or face wipes close to the lash line as the fibres can catch and pull on the extensions. Instead we recommending using a large shadow brush, pouring the remover directly on to the bristles and then cleaning down through the lashes. This helps to get close in to the roots and won’t snag on the extensions.
You Flutter lashes can be worn on a continuous basis without causing any harm to the natural lashes. We recommend maintenance every 3-4 weeks to keep the lashes looking neat and full. To book your next appointment click here.
